Today's Carpe Diem Snapshot: Carpe Cat! Here is a photo of one of my Art and Architecture students appreciating the inherent wisdom of cats at the Cat Sanctuary of Largo Argentina, where 200 felines are currently cared for and spayed. Legend says that Cleopatra began Rome's cat colony when she first brought her own Egyptian feline companions to Rome during the years she was the ally and lover of Julius Caesar (and mother of his child, Caesarion). It's terribly ironic that the descendants of her legendary cats now roam the ruins of the temple of the "Fortune of the Day" where Caesar met his end on that ill-fated day, the Ides of March.
Liturgical: Tuesday of the First Week of Lent Your Father knows what you need before you ask him.
Human: 1816 Gioachino Rossini's comic opera "Barber of Seville" premieres at the Teatro Argentina in Rome, Italy. My Art and Architecture Class just happened to be there today! Largo Argentina, just in front of the theater, is most famous as being the location of two things- the assassination of Julius Caesar in 44 BC, and the Cat Sanctuary of Rome.
Natural: Reading cat body language
