"Rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place, where he prayed."

Sanctoral: St. Paul the Hermit, Egypt +342 (his life was recorded by St. Jerome)

Human: 49 BC – Julius Caesar crossed the Rubicon and began the civil war. Caesar said the famous words – The die is cast!– crossing the Rubicon river, which is a symbolic border between Gaul and Italy. In Roman law legions were forbidden to cross this border, and because Caesar broke that rule, it was in fact a declaration of war. In this way he began a civil war that ended with his triumph and the defeat of his main rival, Pompey.

Natural: Somatic Stretching

Quote: "God always allows us to feel the frailty of human love so we'll appreciate the strength of His." -C.S. Lewis
