A Carpe Diem Snapshot:
After reading yesterday's blog post to the girls, Valentina wanted to correct the record that it is not mermaids whose potential existence they are studying, but rather sirens. Being much prettier subjects for artists, however, they prefer to stay in the tradition of Howard Pyle and the pre-Raphaelites and paint mermaids, such as the one she's now working on above. The beauty of these creatures is often only skin deep, however-- a lovely disguise for their nefarious intentions.
